The Five Stages of Collapse

This long piece by Dmitry Orlov, a Russian who watched the collapse of the regime there in the 80s, is quite interesting given that we collectively seem to be well into stage 2 of his 5 stages which he gives as:-
1) Financial collapse
2) Commercial collapse
3) Political collapse
4) Social collapse
5) Cultural collapse
What I found even more interesting however was his final few sentences in which he gives the 5 stages of response to the above:-

1) Living without needing much money.
2) Provide for basic needs.
3) Local self government.
4) Cohesive community, mutual responsibility.
5) Classical human values.
Sort of sound familiar doesn’t it, back to basics, local government and community pulling together, value people and work not money! Seems to me that some here have been saying this sort of thing long before the current mess the “rich and powerful” have gotten us into…….
