The Five Stages of Collapse

November 13th, 2008
  • This long piece by Dmitry Orlov, a Russian who watched the collapse of the regime there in the 80s, is quite interesting given that we collectively  seem to be well into stage 2 of his 5 stages which he gives as:-

September 10th, 2008

The Globe and Mail reports 0n September 10, 2008 at 2:24 PM EDT

The reversals could be a pivotal point in this federal election campaign.
Dogged by protesters and divisions within the ranks of his own party, Mr. Layton told reporters during a visit to a solar-panel company here Wednesday that the debate about the debate has become an unwanted distraction.
