Shane Jolley - Green Party of Ontario Deputy Leader from Owen Sound will be the keynote speaker for this event. Shane will be addressing the members of the Green Party of Simcoe Grey at the AGM. He will talk about supporting the Green party and building an organization to be as successful as he and the team in Owen Sound has been over the past few years.
Narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, this captivating documentary explores the perilous state of our planet, and the means by which we can change our course. Contributing to this crucial film are noted politicians, scientists and other ambassadors for the importance of a universal ecological consciousness.
A discussion of the film will be led by Shane Jolley.

SOUTHGATE WINDY FIELDS ENERGY COOPERATIVE is pleased to sponsor a Renewable Energy Tour to be held on Saturday, 20th September. The event will be held in the United Way building at the corner of 4th ave and 9th street east. Start time is 7:00, The venue will hold 40 or so people and we expect a great turnout.

The Great Lakes are the largest system of fresh, surface water on earth, containing roughly 18% of the world supply, providing drinking water to 8.5 million Canadians. In contrast, worldwide, one billion people lack access to safe drinking water. Let’s give thanks to the water that nourishes us, pray for its protection, and offer it our blessing.

Come out to hear about the Great Lakes as presented by Harvey Shear, who chaired the International Joint Committee/Commission that was studying the Health of the Great Lakes. He retired from Environment Canada to become a full Professor of Environmental Studies in the Department of Geography, University of Toronto at Mississauga.
