STC is a regionally based monetary system that endeavours to meet economic and social needs of the local community by providing a vehicle for the exchange of labour and goods. We promote self- reliance, community, responsibility, local autonomy and ecological sustainability. We support the spirit of cooperation and celebrate the diversity and abundance of skills and resources we have to offer each other.

The STC has approximately 200 members, and trading is done in a local currency called Saubucks. The STC hosts several market days each year where members can meet, socilize and trade goods and services. Trading is also done by email, telephone, and person to person throughout the year.

Become a member of the Saugeen Trading Community and support local employment, skills, and production. Membership is $15.00/year for administration.
