Shane Jolley - Green Party of Ontario Deputy Leader from Owen Sound will be the keynote speaker for this event. Shane will be addressing the members of the Green Party of Simcoe Grey at the AGM. He will talk about supporting the Green party and building an organization to be as successful as he and the team in Owen Sound has been over the past few years.
Don't miss this opportunity to hear one of the top Green leaders in the country! Come out to the Station on the Green in Creemore, Sunday September 14, at 2pm. Click here for a map to the Station. Free childcare will be available to those who require as well as local goodies and fair trade coffee.
This important meeting will see also the election of the local Executive for the next year or so. Any member is welcome, and encouraged, to help us out with the organization of the greens locally. We are always looking for new people to come and help us as we build our organization and push for sustainability in our region. The results from last fall's election were very encouraging and shows that we can win this seat with the proper organization and planning.
We also will be considering amendments for our local constitution. If there are any changes that anyone would like to see you have the right to propose these changes to the membership at this meeting. All constitutional changes must be supported by 60% of the members in attendance.
See you in Creemore.
