This is an annual event that happens every September all across the world.
While the march began as a way to protest the violence that women experienced while walking in public at night, the purpose of these marches now are also to speak out against violence to women and raise community awareness as a preventive measure against future violence.
Women, Men and Children united and showing their support to end violence to women. Bring banners and signs to represent your agency or group.
If you are not able to come to the one in Owen Sound, contact the local women's shelter in your area to find out about the march that may be happening in that area

A violence survivor, a rep from the Native Friendship Centre, as well as from The Women's Centre.
